Hand Made Chalk Board - For Sale

For the last couple of weeks we have been getting ready to open our own Etsy shop!  As part of getting ready to open our online store we have been brainstorming for fun unique idea's that would be great for online sales.  This is one of the idea's that we came up with in the shop.  It is a chalk board made out of an old slate shingle and mounted on an old barn board.  We placed spacers between the shingle and the barn board to create some depth in the piece and we also made a fun chalk holder at the bottom.  It was a really fun way to use the old shingles for a useful purpose in the house.  This chalk board is 22 inches tall and 12 inches wide.

Historic Newmarket Coffee Table - For Sale

I really love how this coffee table turned out.  It is a very simple clean design but packed with so much character.  The top of this table is made from an Antique door from an old house in Historic Newmarket.  The legs of the table are from an old horse stable from an old barn.  They were cut down to size,  cleaned and then given a coat of flat black paint.  The dark legs create a nice contrast with the naturally antique top.  The top was given a light sand to stop the paint from chipping and to clean it up and refresh it.  Other than that I kept the top in its original condition.  This was a fun table to build and at the same time fun to bring something old back to life in a way that still retains its natural beauty.
